Under the supervision of the site Principal is responsible for teaching music education to students, and assists the staff of the school in the improvement and appreciation of music instruction. Helps students grow in their enjoyment, appreciation, and performance of music through a variety of planned musical experiences which include singing and playing of instruments and performs other duties directly related to this job description. Selects appropriate music, books and instructional aides to enhance learning and requisitions musical instruments and instructional supplies as necessary. Participate in school and district level staff meetings and committees as needed. Participates in school and distric plans to assure the safety of students.
