Teaching Artist in Music Education

Community Musician - Education Specialist Job This role requires a highly motivated and versatile violin teaching artist to engage with diverse communities across Houston through various music education and performance programs. Additionally, the Community Musician will perform in chamber ensembles with tailored and interactive programs that support specific partners, including dementia centers, social service organizations, or schools. Other responsibilities include participating in program evaluations and assessments to measure student/participant progress and program effectiveness, attending professional learning sessions to enhance teaching skills and stay informed on best practices in music education, community engagement, and interactive performances. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to engage with diverse communities, develop their teaching skills, and contribute to the growth and development of the organization's music education and community engagement initiatives.
