Casting "Tonight's Musical," a new long-form improvised musical troupe in the tradition of "Baby Wants Candy." From a single audience suggestion, the cast creates a full-length original musical on the spot, with characters, story, and songs backed by live piano.
Looking to cast a founding ensemble. Looking for: Singers who can invent a melody and commit to it; improvisers with strong scene, character, and story instincts; generous ensemble players who listen; performers ready to rehearse and grow as a troupe.
Musical theatre and long-form improv experience are a plus. Pianists who can accompany improvised songs are also welcome. Created by Paul Green, a musical improviser with nearly 5,000 live shows, iO West and Second City training, and Off-Broadway credits. The venue is being finalized.
