We serve over 300 students across six locations, from infants taking their first Music Together class to adults returning to an instrument they've always wanted to learn. For the right candidate, Pakachoag offers the chance to build a substantial private studio inside a thriving, well-resourced school. You'll teach students you care about, perform in a space that celebrates faculty artistry, and contribute to programs that matter to the Greater Worcestermunity. Teaching takes place primarily at our home location at 10 Irving Street, 2nd Floor, Worcester, MA.RESPONSIBILITIESTeach private violin lessons to students of all ages and levels, from beginners through advancedDesign individualized instruction that challenges and motivates studentsMaintain clear, consistentmunication with students and families regarding progress and expectationsParticipate in Pakachoag's Performance Program, including preparing students for recitals and masterclassesAttend faculty meetings and school events as scheduledMaintain accurate records of lesson attendance and student progress•FACULTY ARTISTRY Pakachoag believes that great teachers are great musicians. We actively encourage our faculty to maintain their own artistic lives, and we offer recital opportunities at the school for faculty who want to perform. Your growth as an artist makes you a better teacher, and we want to support both. Compensation is $40-45/hour,mensurate with experience. Qualifications: QUALIFICATIONSBachelor's degree in music performance, music education, or equivalent (advanced degree preferred)Demonstrated experience teaching violin at multiple levelsStrong interpersonal skills and a genuinemitment to student developmentSuzuki training or certification is a plus, though not requiredExperience working with young children and beginners is highly valuedAdministrative experience in program management—such as coordinating a strings ensemble or Suzuki program—is a strong plus
