Violin teacher wanted: pay starts at $55-70+/hour and rises as your studio grows.
William Pu Music Academy (WPMA) is a pre-college, conservatory-style academy in Alpharetta, GA, just north of Atlanta. We're hiring a violin teacher for students ages 8–18. 20–40 hours a week, flexible scheduling, starting as soon as you're ready.
You'd teach weekly private lessons, build your own studio, lead a studio class each semester, and prepare students for masterclasses as well as youth-orchestra, competition, festival and conservatory auditions. Our students hold chairs in GMEA All-State, ASYO, EYSO, NYO and NYO2, and are accepted into prestigious festivals, universities and conservatories, including Juilliard, Peabody, NEC, Jacobs and SFCM.
Two reasons teachers stay. We build your studio with you: committed families, referrals from senior faculty, and established performance, music theory, collaborative piano, and chamber music programs to support your students. And we handle scheduling, billing and parent communication, so your hours go to teaching. Flexible schedule, professional development assistance, and relocation assistance for the right candidate.
We’re looking for: top conservatory graduates, experience in a premier professional ensemble, experience teaching pre-college students, or a track record of sending students to conservatory.
