Teach beginner/intermediate violin studentsAbility to teach advanced students and additional instruments preferredEfficiently manage your time and administrative responsibilities, keep track of lesson scheduling, student progress, and communicate assignments and progress with student/parentActively contribute to creating a vibrant and welcoming culture within the schoolProvide organized, professional lessons that are adapted to the individual needs of each studentReceive positive feedback from students, parents, and peers about your teaching and supportLead Group Jams including leading songs for the week and assisting students in directed practice time helping students on the basics of piano, drums, voice, guitar, bass, violin, and moreTeach rhythm as a foundation for all instrumentsAttend quarterly meetingsPerform other miscellaneous tasksQualifications & Qualities

Strong communication skillsMusic theory background, music degree or formal training, strongly preferredProficiency in multiple instrumentsReliability, punctuality, and professionalismStrong classroom and group management skillsAbility to create a fun, engaging learning environmentPassionate about music as a shared experience, not just technical masteryHours & Pay

This position is for an independent contractorApproximately 4-8 hours a week with potential for increase (dependent on your availability and school’s needs)Flexible working hours based on class schedules and student availabilityAvailability to teach during peak lesson times, including afternoons, evenings, and weekendsOther events and concert participation outside of regular teaching hours (approximately 12 shows per year)Starting pay dependent upon experienceHired teacher covers all of his/her own business expensesEx: copies, music, instruments, laptop, etc. (studio space for lessons is covered by JamtotheBeat)Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
