The Menchey School of Music, part of Menchey Music Service, is seeking an enthusiastic and dependable violin and viola instructor to join their team at the Lancaster studio. This is an opportunity for a teacher who enjoys building strong student relationships, creating engaging lessons, and being part of a music-centered community that values education. The school offers a thriving private lesson program with a steady flow of students, full administrative support, private teaching studios, on-site support from a Studio Coordinator, frequent recitals, and a professional, education-focused environment.
Responsibilities
Teach engaging, personalized, and effective private lessons to students of varying ages and skill levelsCreate a positive, encouraging, and educational lesson environmentHelp students grow musically, prepare for recitals, and inspire participation in performance opportunitiesCommunicate timely and professionally with students, parents, and staffKeep accurate attendance and lesson records using our digital scheduling systemDemonstrate reliability, professionalism, and enthusiasm every dayRequirements
A strong musical background demonstrated by at least 2 years of college-level music training, 5 years of teaching or professional performance experience, or an equivalent combinationAbility to successfully complete an initial background check, as well as recurring background checks every three years as a condition of employmentStrong verbal and written communication skills, including professional and timely email communicationConfidence and effectiveness in delivering one-on-one instructionExcellent organization and time managementComfortability using a digital scheduling systemWarm, energetic, and professional presence that reflects our culture and missionPatience, flexibility, and the ability to connect with students of all ages and skill levelsNice-to-haves
