ABOUT THE POSITION: The Department of Music, Theatre, and Film at The University of Alabama in Huntsville (UAH) invites applications for a Visiting Assistant Professor of Music, Director of Bands position for the 2026-2027 academic year with potential for renewal. Responsibilities: Provide effective leadership as the conductor of the UAH Wind Ensemble, coupled with a recruiting component integral to the growth of the department. Additional responsibilities include instruction in the areas of conducting and music education, and overseeing the leadership of the university athletic bands and instrumental area. Our class sizes are relatively small, and our faculty are committed to students’ success.
