The Center of Musical Arts is seeking a vocal instructor. The ideal candidate will bring passion for music and teaching. This role is perfect for someone who approaches teaching with empathy and patience. The instructor will encourage personal and musical growth through joy, creativity, and community support.

Qualifications (Desired Skills):

Proven experience as a vocal instructor, with a portfolio or references.
Proficiency in vocals across multiple genres.
Special consideration for instructors with jazz experience.
Strong knowledge of music theory, music literacy and the ability to teach them effectively.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to inspire and motivate students.
Patience and adaptability to work with students of all ages and abilities.
Commitment to continuous professional development.

Responsibilities:

Conduct vocal lessons for students of all ages and skill levels.
Demonstrate punctuality and professionalism at all times.
Develop and implement customized lesson plans focused on the unique needs and goals of each student.
Teach a variety of musical styles and genres.
Demonstrate excellent communication with students, parents and staff.
Provide instruction on music theory, sight-reading, and performance techniques.
Monitor and assess students' progress, offering constructive feedback and support.
Maintain an organized learning environment.
Participate in faculty meetings, workshops, and professional development opportunities.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in music, education/performance or professional equivalent.
Experience in teaching is preferred.

Schedule:

Availability to teach a minimum of two days per week is required, with each day encompassing a minimum of four hours.
Operating hours are Monday through Friday from 12:00 pm to 7:00 pm, Saturday 11:00am to 4:00pm. Teaching schedules need to fall within these operational hours.
