Vocalist/Guitarist

The Lead Vocalist/Guitarist’s primary responsibility is to support the mission of Ascension Lutheran Church (“Loving God, one another, and the community”) by providing musical leadership for worship services and occasional other activities as a part of the music ministry of the church. The Lead Vocalist/Guitarist will primarily be part of the musical leadership fo Ascension’s Modern Worship service each Sunday at 11 am. Having a pivotal role in the musical life of the church, this individual is a strong leader and a team player, working under the direction of the Lead Pastor and Director of Worship and Media Arts. The Lead Vocalist/Guitarist is accountable to the Director of Worship and Media Arts and Lead Pastor. Responsibilities • Support the church’s worship ministry through the well-prepared execution of music presented by the worship band • Timely attendance at rehearsals and worship services • Work with Director of Worship and Media Arts to plan for special music during worship • Assist the Director of Worship and Media Arts in finding a substitute for Sundays and other worship services when not available
