Musicians Playground is not your typical music school. Located in the heart of Downtown Crossing, we’re a vibrant and welcoming music community built specifically for adults looking to have more fun, meet new people, and reconnect with their creativity through music. Like a gym but for musicians - we offer private lessons, group classes, music-based team-building events, and more—all within a beautifully designed 3,000 sq ft studio filled with top-tier instruments, amenities, and creative energy.

We’re looking for experienced, passionate voice teachers who love what they do and value music as a form of fun, connection, and personal wellness. If you’re looking to teach without the burden of running your own business—or you’re tired of unpaid travel time, zig-zagging across town, or working with students who don’t really want to be there—this might be the perfect place for you.

Our ideal candidate:

Has a degree in music (or will graduate within 6 months)Has 2+ years of teaching experience (group & private)Loves working with adult hobbyistsSings confidently in a range of contemporary genresBrings a warm, engaging, collaborative energy to lessonsViews music as a tool for fun, connection, and personal growthWants to be part of a highly professional and inspiring team Bonus Skills:

Accompanying students on pianoMusic arranging and/or production experienceBackground in vocal pedagogy or music educationPlays multiple instrumentsHas experience performing or leading bandsStrong customer service or client communication skills What You’ll Be Doing

Teaching private and group voice lessons to adults and childrenSupporting the development of our voice department and curriculumHelping with new client scheduling and communicationAssisting with MP’s special events and team-building experiencesParticipating in weekly staff meetings and trainingAssisting with social media content or community engagement (optional) Schedule & Commitment

Minimum: 2 days/week, 12+ hours during peak times (Mon–Thurs 3–9 PM, Fri 3–7 PM, Sat/Sun 9–5 PM)Required attendance at our weekly virtual team meeting every Wednesday from 1–2 PMTeachers are expected to check Slack and email daily—althought communication is pretty minimal - responsiveness is essential for success in the roleAttendance required for client events (held periodically on Fridays or Sundays, with 1+ month notice)

Minimum 1-year commitment (with opportunities to grow long-term) Starting Compensation

$37.5–$40/hr for private & semi-private lessons$47.5–$50/hr for group classes & team-building events$17.50–$20/hr for training and administrative tasks*For teachers working 20 hours per week, this pay structure can result in monthly earnings of $3,200 or more. We also offer periodic raises and performance-based bonuses tied to your performance and longevity with the team—so your compensation grows as you do.*
