Responsibilities
Teach private music lessons, primarily in voice, to students of all ages.
Conduct lessons in students’ homes, your own home or studio, or via webcam.
Design and adapt lesson plans and curriculum to meet individual student needs.
Maintain punctuality, strong communication, and organized record‑keeping with the office.
Assist with billing and scheduling as coordinated by the company.
Qualifications
Either a degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or prior teaching experience.
Strong communication, organizational, and time‑management skills.
Willingness to travel within the New Orleans area and access to a rehearsal or studio space.
Work Arrangement
You are an independent contractor and set your own schedule and curriculum. Payment is per hour, adjusted for travel time, experience/education, and student retention rate. The company provides marketing, student acquisition, and billing support.
COVID‑19 Safety
Mask, hand hygiene, and social distancing are required for in‑person lessons. Some students may prefer webcam lessons, but the majority seek in‑person instruction.
