Do you bring out the star in your students? Taylor Robinson Music seeks private music instructors, especially for Voice, to teach students in the Bakersfield, CA area. We do not have a brick‑and‑mortar studio, so lessons may take place in students’ homes, in your own home or studio, or via webcam. Most students prefer in‑person lessons, so local instructors who can host or travel within the area are required.
Salary & Hours
Independent contractor basis, pay $20–$30 per hour (depending on travel time, experience/education, and student retention).
Flexible, self‑scheduled with freedom to design curricula and lesson plans.
Location
Bakersfield, CA. Lessons may be held in students’ homes, your studio, or via webcam.
Responsibilities
Provide private voice instruction to students at various skill levels.
Schedule and conduct lessons, prepare lesson plans and curricula.
Travel to student locations as needed.
Maintain open communication with the office; arrive on time and organized.
Follow COVID‑19 precautions: wear a mask, sanitize hands, practice social distancing where applicable.
Qualifications
Formal music training not mandatory, but must have either a degree in music, enrollment in a music program, professional performing experience, or prior teaching experience.
Strong interpersonal skills, good communication, punctuality, and organization.
