Volunteers may stay with the patient to give the caregiver some time away or time to rest and they can be a caring companion and compassionate listener to both patients and families. They must work closely with Volunteer Program Coordinator as members of the hospice team. Sutter also provides certain vaccinations or test for immunity if you don't have access to your vaccination records.
