Position Summary: Schedule: Support Masses Sundays at 5:00 PM

St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church seeks a dedicated and spiritually grounded Musician and

Cantor to lead and support the musical elements of our liturgies. This role is vital in fostering a prayerful and engaging worship experience through music that reflects the liturgical season and enhances congregational participation.

Key Responsibilities
Serve as cantor and instrumentalist (e.g., piano, or guitar) for the 5 PM Sunday Mass.
Lead the congregation in singing hymns, psalms, and Mass parts with clarity and reverence in already selected liturgical music.

Prepared music in advance.

Coordinate with other musicians or choir members as applicable.

Maintain a prayerful and professional presence during liturgies.

Communicate effectively with parish staff and volunteers.

Qualifications
Proficiency in vocal performance and accompanying instruments (piano, organ, or guitar).
Familiarity with Catholic liturgical music and worship practices.

Ability to read music and follow liturgical cues.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Reliability and punctuality.

Prior experience in church music ministry preferred.

Compensation
Stipend per Mass, commensurate with experience.
