Duties

Develop comprehensive curriculum plans tailored to individual student needs and skill levels
Conduct engaging and interactive lessons focusing on technique, music theory, and performance skills
Manage classroom behavior to create a respectful and focused learning environment
Prepare students for recitals, performances, or examinations by guiding practice routines and offering constructive feedback
Incorporate diverse teaching methods including visual aids, demonstrations, and multimedia resources such as photography or theater elements when appropriate
Track student progress regularly and adjust lesson plans to meet evolving goals
Collaborate with parents, caregivers, or other educators to support student development and address any special educational needs

Skills

Strong background in curriculum development tailored for woodwind instruments across various age groups
Proven experience in teaching music and managing classrooms effectively
Ability to work with children and adults with patience, enthusiasm, and adaptability
Knowledge of early childhood education principles and preschool experience is a plus
Skills in lesson planning that incorporate creative activities like dancing or sewing to enhance musical understanding
Experience with behavior management techniques to foster positive learning environments
Familiarity with childhood development stages and special education accommodations when necessary
Competence in integrating arts such as theater or photography into music lessons for a holistic educational approach
