Part-Time | Approximately 8-10 hours per week, 2 weeks/month with possible growth
Gate City Vineyard is seeking a Spirit-led, relational, and musically gifted Worship Leader/Musician to help plan and lead worship for our Sunday morning services. We are a lively, friendly, intergenerational, and multicultural church of about 100 people in Greensboro, North Carolina. Our Sunday services are casual, come-as-you-are gatherings with worship that ranges from full-band to simple acoustic settings.
The ideal candidate will lead both vocally and instrumentally and share our desire for authentic, biblical encounters with the Holy Spirit. We value the Vineyard tradition of intimate, Spirit-led worship and are looking for someone who can help lead the congregation through both energetic celebration and quieter, reflective worship.
Our music includes contemporary worship and Vineyard music, with openness to gospel, acoustic, and culturally diverse expressions that reflect our congregation and community.
Primary Responsibilities
Plan and lead worship. Work with the Senior Pastor and worship team to select music and prepare worship for Sunday morning services.
Lead musically. Provide strong vocal and instrumental leadership while creating space for the congregation to participate and encounter God.
Prepare the team and worship materials. Communicate songs and arrangements in advance, lead a weekly rehearsal, and ensure that song lyrics are correctly entered in our media system.
Work collaboratively. Serve alongside our existing musicians, vocalists, worship leaders, and production volunteers, helping each person contribute effectively.
Encourage and develop musicians. Help identify and encourage people within the congregation who have musical gifts and an interest in serving, while helping existing team members grow in their musicianship.
Bring creativity. Help us continue developing worship that is fresh, authentic, accessible, and reflective of the diversity of our church and community.
Be available to lead or assist with worship for occasional special services or church events as mutually agreed upon.
