Contract Worship Musicians & Vocalists at Second Story Church

About the Role Second Story Church is seeking skilled, passionate contracted musicians and vocalists to join our weekend worship team. We are looking for collaborative musicians who bring both musical excellence and a heart for leading our community in authentic worship.

Time Commitment: Sunday Mornings (Rehearsal + 10AM Service) & Pre-Sunday Prep

Open Positions: Worship Leaders (Lead vocal + acoustic/keys, service flow leadership), Vocalists (Lead & background harmonies), Electric & Acoustic Guitarists, Keys / Synth Players, Bass Players, Drummers

Key Responsibilities

Prepare assigned music independently prior to Sunday rehearsals.
Arrive on time (7:30AM) and fully prepared for Sunday morning soundchecks, rehearsals, and services.
Engage collaboratively with the Worship Director, production team, and other musicians.
Maintain a professional, positive, and supportive attitude that aligns with the culture of Second Story Church.
Qualifications & Requirements

High proficiency in your primary instrument/vocal role.
Experience playing with click tracks, backing tracks (e.g., Prime/Ableton), and in-ear monitor systems.
Ability to chart-read (Nashville Number System or standard chord charts) and adapt quickly during rehearsals.
Reliable transportation and punctual attendance.
Alignment with the overall mission and values of Second Story Church.
Schedule & Compensation

Schedule: Sunday mornings (typically 3–4 hours, including pre-service rehearsal and service execution). Occasional special events as requested.

Compensation: Competitive per-service flat rate based on role.
