Organist​/Pianist

The primary responsibility of the Organist/Pianist is to play the organ and piano at Sunday Worship services, Wednesday evening choir rehearsals, and at special services and events as requested throughout the year. • Collaboration : Work with Music Director to ensure organ/piano accompaniment complements the singing and/or other special music and guest musicians. Music Selection and Planning • Choosing appropriate music: The organist selects music that complements the liturgy, readings, and sermon theme for each service, and sets the tone for worship. Other Responsibilities • Maintaining the organ: The organist is responsible for reporting any maintenance issues with the organ and working with the Director of Operations to ensure it's in good working order. Works collaboratively with the Senior Minister and Director of Music to coordinate worship music planning and accompaniment.
