Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
Provide general administrative and office support for the Music Department by assisting with student engagement initiatives, event planning, communications, and program support. Help coordinate music student events, distribute announcements and reminders, create promotional and social media content, maintain spreadsheets and records, and support departmental operations. Contribute to creating a positive and engaging experience for music students while assisting with a variety of administrative and organizational tasks.
Responsibilities
* Assist with planning and coordinating events for music students, including programs such as Fall Kickoff and Town Halls.
* Help facilitate and support student-focused events and activities.
* Prepare and distribute announcements, reminders, and other communications to music students.
* Assist with advertising events and promoting departmental activities.
* Create and manage social media content to support student engagement and event promotion.
* Maintain and update spreadsheets, lists, and related records.
* Provide administrative support for departmental programs and initiatives.
* Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
* Little to no prior experience required.
* Ability to learn and support departmental processes and procedures.
* Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.

* Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
* Effective written and verbal communication skills.
